We’re taking a break from meeting up for a few weeks over the summer, but not from writing. We’ve been given a few tasks to do before our next meeting on 6th September.
The first task is to develop the build-up to a discovery or a mystery in one of our current projects. My project is a psychologically thrilling novel, so I have plenty of scope for discoveries. Of course, not all discoveries have to be unpleasant, but it’s more fun for me as the author if they mostly are!
Stay tuned for the next task.
Over to you!
What are your top tips for writing the build-up to a discovery? How do you keep the tension and suspense without giving too much away?
