Ely Writers’ website reopens today!

Members of Ely Writers sit round a table, but turned to face the camera. They're in a cafe, so there's cups and saucers mingling with notebooks and pens on the table.

Ely Writers has had a website for some time, but it has been lying dormant until now. It’s woken up because we’ve had a couple of people who aren’t on Facebook come to meetings, and we’d like them to be able to find out what’s happening with Ely Writers without having to create a Facebook account specially.

The Ely Writers website has been moved from the WordPress.com servers to a self-hosted version here at Pandammonium. The change was to allow greater flexibility with the design and functionality than is permitted with a free WordPress.com account.

We’ve been working away behind the scenes to bring you this new – and improved, we hope – version of the website. All the original content is still there, and there are new posts reviewing the monthly meetings we’ve had since we reconvened as well as new content about writing.

We hope to continue developing the site so that members of Ely Writers can write their own posts about writing and submit projects they’re proud of to the Ely Writers portfolio. For now, the portfolio comprises placeholder projects by Caity so that it doesn’t look too bare.

We’re very excited about this new website, and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.

We declare this website reopened!
